DCS WORLD

DCS World is a realistic military jet simulator. I don’t fly this on stream regularly, but is so much fun to complete missions with your friends, or even take them on a 1-1 dogfight! Below is a list of my addons that I use actively with DCS World. This is something that I am looking forward to starting to use in the near future!

F/A-18C Hornet

The F/A-18C Hornet is a twin-engine, carrier-based, multirole fighter jet; originating in the United States. This was the first jet I purchased on DCS and was certainly a big learning curve to get started! The enjoyment you get out of practising landings on an aircraft carrier with your friends, or embarking on a 1-hour mission to take out some ground or air targets is exceptional. You can change the livery, create your own or edit the loadout with different missile and bomb setups. I would highly recommend this as your first purchase for DCS World, as a lot of the systems you learn, will be carried through the different jets going forward.

F-16C Viper

In my opinion, the F-16C Viper is a very sexy looking jet! Its nickname; the ‘Fighting Falcon’ is a single-engine multi-role fighter jet developed by the United States Air Force. This jet is designed to combat all types of weather, and DCS does a masterpiece of redesigning the jet for a simulator. The F-16C is famous for its open-bubble canopy where the pilot is able to see all around them when manoeuvring the jet.

There are 11 mounting points on this jet for weapons and other mission equipment, alongside an M61 Vulcan cannon. This jet sounds incredible and is a great starter jet for anyone looking to get into DCS World.
