WELCOME!

I’m Ian, 25, from Kent, England. I am a content creator, and I guess this is my CV! Our content is focused heavily on Flight Simulation, with some racing and other bits mixed in between! I have been flying virtually since Flight Simulator 2004, when I was just 7 years old; since then, I have gained over 10,000 hours in the virtual VATSIM skies (not the real ones YET!) sharing my journey with you legends.

FAQs

  • I aim to go live at 10:00 GMT on weekdays; and/or 19:30 GMT in the evenings. The best way to know when I go live on Twitch is to join my Discord Server and get notified.

  • 166cm which is 5 foot 5… but chat seem to think I am 5 foot 4.

  • I grew up watching Twitch as a child from the age of around 13; specifically a streamer called Squirrel who was just starting out at the time. I admired and looked up to Paul, and started to stream iRacing intermittently with 1-10 viewers which was just my mates. I wasn’t very quick, but we had a laugh.

After I finished education, I had a lot more time in-between my job on weekends, and started a routine to stream flgiht sim; P3D & XP11 initially, before MSFS got released.

I started to build up more of a community at this point; and achieved Partner status in February 2020. I was always so shy growing up; but being able to communicate to an audience of over 200+ viewers at one time is something I never thought I was capable of, but I love it!

  • I am not part of the official Kenco coffee company; but it’s family heritage regardless! The name Kenco comes from part of my Dad’s nickname when he was younger.

My Dad (Kevin) used to drink Kenco coffee on repeat in his past job. Every morning my Dad just had a Kenco Coffee to start off his day right. His colleagues noticed this and quickly started calling him ‘KencoKev’. I picked up on this when I was younger, and when trying to change my Twitch name away from anything with numbers (Ian3471); I found that Kenco was available on Twitch. I quickly grabbed this, and it has stuck ever since!

So we are officially the ‘Kenco’ or ‘Kenco Junior’ of my Dad ‘KencoKev’!

  • Back when I was like 7 years old (2007); we had a family Windows XP computer that could just about run FSX. It was pretty much the only game I played; besides RuneScape, Club Penguin and Roller Coaster Tycoon 3.

None of the flying was serious at this point; I was nose diving Dash 8’s and wind-waving B747’s! But there was a spark and an interest in wanting to grow up in something aviation related.

Nobody in my family has ever really shown an interest in aviation or aircraft, but I found a love for it instantly.

Around 2018, I started to heavily invest a lot more in Prepar3D and X-Plane. Purchasing aircraft and scenery, which at the time was only a few £20 here and there. It has now became an addiction, and here we are with £1,000’s of hardware, equipment, scenery and aircraft to have fun with!

Looking back, I wouldn’t change anything; but here’s to taking to the real skies soon!
